The tech giant Amazon has been expanding its service area since 2007 and has introduced Amazon Music. Amazon Music offers you several ways to sell your music:
Amazon Music Free offers unlimited access to various radio stations and playlists. Adverts are played between songs.
Amazon Prime Music provides an advert-free music experience. There are also more than 100 million songs, an extensive collection of great, ad-free podcasts, as well as thousands of playlists and broadcasters.
Amazon Music Unlimited is Amazon’s premium subscription service with more than 100 million songs in HD and millions of songs in ultra-HD. With 3D audio, Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio, the world of first-class sound is virtually unlimited.
Streaming income normally ranges between 0.1 and 1 cent per play. The amount is dependent on the service’s advertising revenue, its price model, the channel used, the country and the number of premium customers (and more) and therefore varies on a monthly basis.
Important: contrary to some rumours, musicians are also paid money per stream in the ad-financed Freemium model. We have summarised the issue of streaming income here.
